Ingredients
- 2 cups of plain or flavoured yogurt
- 1 cup mixed fruits (such as strawberries, blueberries, mango, or banana)
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, for enhanced flavor)
Instructions:
Prepare the Fruit
Wash and prepare your fruits. If using strawberries or mango, remove the stems or peel and chop them into chunks. Bananas should be peeled and sliced.Blend the Fruit and Yogurt
In a blender, combine the yogurt, prepared fruit, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract if using. Blend until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.Prepare the Molds
If you have silicone molds or an ice cube tray, these work perfectly for this recipe. Alternatively, you can use a mini muffin tin. If using a muffin tin or ice cube tray, you might want to line it with plastic wrap for easier removal of the bites.Fill the Molds
Spoon or pour the blended yogurt mixture into the molds. Fill them to the top as they won’t rise or expand.Freeze the Yogurt Bites
Place the molds in the freezer and freeze until the bites are solid, at least 4 hours or overnight.Serve
Once frozen, pop the yogurt fruit bites out of the molds. If they are difficult to remove, run the bottom of the molds under warm water for a few seconds to loosen them.
