Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt (could use our berry flavour)
  • 1 banana, sliced and frozen
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (such as blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries), plus extra for topping
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk or almond milk (for a creamy texture)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

Toppings:

  • Sliced fresh fruits (like kiwi, banana, and additional berries)
  • Edible flowers (such as violets or marigolds for a splash of color)
  • Chia seeds or flaxseeds
  • Granola
  • Coconut flakes
  • Nuts (like sliced almonds or chopped walnuts)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Smoothie Mixture
In a blender, combine the plain yogurt, frozen banana, mixed berries, and coconut milk. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a sweeter taste, add honey or maple syrup to the mixture before blending.
  2. Check Consistency
The mixture should be thick enough to eat with a spoon. If it's too thin, you can add more frozen banana or a handful of ice cubes and blend again. If it's too thick, add a bit more milk.
  3. Serve in a Bowl
Pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl. Use the back of a spoon or a spatula to smooth the top.
  4. Decorate Your Bowl
Arrange the sliced fruits neatly on top of the smoothie base. You can create a pattern or simply scatter them artistically. Add a sprinkle of granola for crunch, some coconut flakes, and nuts for texture and richness. Sprinkle chia seeds or flaxseeds across one side. Place a few edible flowers for a decorative touch that makes the bowl pop with color.
  5. Enjoy Immediately
Serve the smoothie bowl immediately to maintain the freshness of the fruits and the crunchiness of the granola.
